For organizations configured with Taiwan jurisdiction, August grounds legal analysis, drafting, and advice in Taiwanese law by default, and its web research for Taiwanese legal questions is restricted to official government sources rather than the open web.

What Changes for Taiwan Organizations

  • Taiwanese law by default. Ambiguous legal-research queries are grounded in Taiwan (ROC) law — statutes, regulations, and case law — and August distinguishes Taiwan's legal system from that of the People's Republic of China even where terminology overlaps.

  • Traditional Chinese output. Chinese-language responses and drafted documents use Traditional Chinese characters (正體字/繁體字) in the formal register and terminology of Taiwanese legal practice, and drafted documents follow the structure a Taiwanese lawyer would use for that instrument.
